Construction Services

The Cody Ehlers Group (CEG) Construction Services Team provides a full range of environmental, safety and quality management support on construction projects throughout the United States. Representative projects include installation of an approximately 70 mile 345kV power cable system, planning and permitting for a 50 mile fuel transmission pipeline, construction of electrical substations, replacement of overhead power cables, permitting and construction of the largest soybean to biodiesel production facility in the United States and bulk petroleum storage terminal permitting and construction.

From project planning and permitting through implementation and start-up, CEG's multi-disciplinary professionals help project management teams start on time, proceed on schedule with no unforeseen obstacles that could bog down progress, finish on time and within budget…while providing a complete electronic record of daily events. CEG's services included the following:

Environmental Planning

CEG's strong environmental consulting roots allow us to provide valuable contributions to the project team from the earliest planning stages. We have been leaders in property acquisition due diligence for over 20 years. We use this expertise to identify potential pre-existing contamination, wetlands and endangered species issues early in the project siting/route selection process. This optimizes project preparation and minimizes potential surprises.

Where applicable, our soil and ground water investigation and classification services allow materials management planning (i.e. excavated soil handling, staging and disposal, dewatering liquids management and discharge permitting) that saves unforeseen expenses and prevents scheduling delays.

CEG also expedites wetlands permitting and mitigation planning, air permitting, storm water permitting and management planning, spill prevention and response planning.

CEG implements and fully documents all compliance requirements associated with the following programs:
  • Storm Water Pollution Prevention
  • Erosion Control
  • Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC)
  • Dewatering Discharge Management
  • Excavated Soil Management

  • Wetlands Compliance
  • Endangered Species
